Primary Care Innovations: An App for Asthma Management in Children and Integrating Oral Health into Diabetic Group Visits

At the Harvard Medical School Center for Primary Care’s third annual Primary Care Innovations Conference, we talked to two teams about their work in this field.

The first team presented their project, “Inter-disciplinary Approach and Community Collaboration to Develop an Asthma Management Tool.”  It consisted of Harpreet Sood, MD, MPH, Deland Fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Luiu Tsao, second year Harvard medical student, and Komal Kothari, second year Harvard medical student.

The second team presented their idea of “A Novel Public Health Model in Family Medicine: Integrating Oral Health into Diabetic Group Visits.”  The team included Raina Chandiramani with the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, George Chen with the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Sina Hedayatnia with the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Viet Nguyen with Harvard Medical School, and Helen Yang with the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
