Get ready to be rattled. “We are now witnessing Moore’s Law being applied to healthcare, where technological change is accelerating to near real-time,” says Adam Falat, Senior UX Leader of Digital Health at Walgreens.
Falat is a proponent of prescribing ‘smart medicine’ tools in seamless conjunction with traditional care. “Our efforts in digital health will have the most significant and lasting impact when we design products, services and experiences that complement our human nature,” he says.
Falat also emphasizes user experience as the key differentiator in today’s competitive market. “Remember to distinguish that you are not the customer; it’s imperative to get the customer involved from the beginning,” he says. Companies need to have laser-focus on the stakeholder experience.
For Falat, digital technology has been a life-long magical fascination. “I will always have a thirst for knowledge and be looking for ways to satisfy my childhood desire to merge creativity and technology to make a positive difference in people’s lives,” he says.
