We all know about the success of statin therapy in reducing low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol and the risk of cardiovascular events, but can we achieve better patient outcomes by combining it with non-statins? Join us as we discuss the combination of statins and Ezetimibe (a non-statin drug that reduces intestinal cholesterol absorption) which in this study provided incremental LDL cholesterol lowering and improved cardiovascular outcomes.

CPR performed before EMS arrival was associated with a 30-day survival rate after an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest that was more than twice as high as that associated with no CPR before EMS arrival. Additionally, a mobile-phone positioning system to dispatch lay volunteers will be discussed in this already underway forum.
