We’re looking for three interns to help us drive community and innovation at MedTech Boston this spring! We’re a remote company, so you’ll be working from home (or from your favorite coffee shop) most days. You can manage your own time – we expect you to get your work done, but we won’t count your hours for you.
If hired, you should plan to spend 10 to 20 hours per week working on MedTech Boston assignments, from January through May. This internship is unpaid, but we’re happy to help you arrange for class credit. If you’re located in Boston, we’ll arrange to meet with you and our other interns to discuss projects and assignments. If you live somewhere else, we’ll hang out virtually.
Editorial Interns
We’re looking for two self-starters who have experience pitching stories, creating viral content and editing work from freelancers. As our editorial interns, you’ll work directly with our managing editor on everything from writing stories, to planning major projects to securing partnerships with key organizations. You’ll learn about what it takes to run a start-up and you’ll get your hands dirty as you help us consider what makes journalism work.
This is an ideal position for a student, recent graduate or resident who wants to learn about life at a startup, and who is interested in both healthcare and journalism. We’d prefer to work with those located in the Boston area, but the right candidate could live anywhere in the United States. We hope that you have some sort of editorial experience – college assignments and newspaper stories count.

Also, we’re looking for someone who has experience working with Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and more. As our social media intern, you’ll work directly with our managing editor and founders on everything from scheduling social media around MedTech Boston posts, to crunching analytics, to growing our audiences on all platforms, to pushing publicity around our events. You’ll learn about what it takes to run a start-up and you’ll get your hands dirty as you help us play with social media as a tool for bringing together Boston’s divided healthcare community.
