Water plays a critical role in the human body but needs to be replenished regularly. However, many Americans fail to drink a sufficient amount of water.
HidrateMe is a “smart water bottle that syncs to your phone to track your water intake and glows to remind you to stay hydrated,” according to its campaign. Using Bluetooth, the bottle connects to an app and can also pair with fitness wearables, like the FitBit, to increase the user’s water consumption goal for a day when he or she exercises more. By also tracking location, the app determines temperature, humidity and altitude to adjust water goals accordingly.
The bottle holds 24 ounces, is available in five colors, has a year long battery life and is BPA free and dishwasher safe.
Based out of Minneapolis, Minn., HidrateMe’s fundraising goal is $35,000.
You can support HidrateMe through Kickstarter.
