NightWave is a bedside device intended to help relax the body and ease the mind for a more restful night. It is marketed for those who suffer from over-stimulation, environmental stress or jetlag. “With NightWave, adults and children alike begin to relax within minutes and then easily drift into sleep. NightWave is also “great for returning to sleep in the middle of the night,” according to its website.
So how does it work? The device emits a blue light, which “ebbs and flows.” Users are intended to inhale and exhale in time with the light, slowing breathing to ease them into sleep quickly. It is similar to mediation techniques, but easier to implement, triggering the relaxation of the nervous system.
NightWave Sleep Assistant is available for $49.95.
