Today Boston Scientific announced the launch of the Connected Patient Challenge on Medstro, the social network for physicians.
The online competition seeks ideas to improve patient care and/or lower costs with the use of remote patient monitoring technology — wearables, implantable devices or sensors. All clinicians, engineers, designers and entrepreneurs are encouraged to submit their ideas by January 5, 2016.
“This is an incredible opportunity for clinicians and innovators with big ideas to potentially turn their idea into reality,” said Jennifer M. Joe, MD, Medstro founder and CEO and Editor-in-Chief of MedTech Boston in a press release.
Special attention will be given to solutions for improving data flow and the decision making process.
A live event in Cambridge, Mass. will honor the finalists who will pitch their ideas live to a panel of judges and sponsors for the chance to win up to $25,000 in prizes.
