Embracing a creative solution and making it happen—that’s the mantra guiding Mad*Pow founder, Amy Cueva. As a designer, she is wired to solve problems and help clients deliver meaning and value to their customers through creative user experience.
Cueva understands that turning a vision into reality requires more than just clever design and technology. Her team organizes the annual HxRefactored conference, which brings together over 600 thought leaders from design, technology and healthcare industries to create the next-big-thing.
Patients are at the center of a disconnected healthcare system and increasingly organizations are leveraging technology to connect patients with information they need throughout their journey. Cueva advises young professionals to grasp the entirety of their audience’s healthcare journey and find potential nooks for improvement.
“This might sound obvious but this does not happen in the healthcare system right now,” adds Cueva. “It is essential to include the people who will be affected by the solutions we create in the process of creating them.” She believes this approach not only produces effective solutions, but evokes empathy, inspiring us to make the change we wish to see in the world.
