Last Thursday, the Boston Scientific Connected Patient Challenge II concluded with a live even at Google’s headquarters in Kendall Square. The focus of this year’s challenge was Big Data, and participants were encouraged to submit ideas on how to improve patient outcomes, increase efficiency in delivering care, and drive down the cost of care using data analytics.
Six teams pitched in front of a live panel of expert judges who determined two winners to award $50k of in-kind services from Boston Scientific.
First place winner, Medumo, is a mobile and web-based platform that delivers instructions and reminders to patients to help manage their care and facilitate clinical intervention on the part of healthcare providers. Second place winner, Pillo Health, is a home healthcare companion that combines artificial intelligence, medication management, and connectivity with peripheral devices to enable proactive interaction and increased patient adherence and engagement.
Congratulations to this year’s winners!
