Serving as Chair of the AMA Medical Student Section, Libby works with the board of trustees and the Government Relations and Advocacy Fellow to shape the educational and advocacy priorities of the student section. So far, the policies the “students have passed have actually changed AMA policy and hopefully to the future of healthcare.”
The most rewarding part of his career, Libby says, is getting the “privilege of seeing how empowering others makes the world around me a better place.”
In his free time, Libby enjoys cooking, snowboarding, and traveling. He’s also involved in the Kelley Backpacks Program, which provides backpacks full of supplies to children entering foster care from the hospital.
James Gardner, Pamela Bump, Olivia Tardif, Sarah Schroeder and Shreya Iyer all contributed to this year's 40 Under 40. Learn more about their work in the "About the Authors" section!
