On Monday, January 22nd, the New England Healthcare Executive Network hosted their annual Winter Social at the Foley Hoag offices in the Seaport District.
The morning began with a short networking breakfast, and opening comments from MedTech Boston’s very own Dr. Jennifer Joe. This was followed by a keynote delivered by Vicki A. Barbur of The MITRE Corporation, a not-for-profit organization that operates research and development centers sponsored by the federal government. MITRE is currently working with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to modernize healthcare.
Following the keynote there was a round of “lighting pitches” from a variety of companies that provide essential services for startups in the healthcare ecosystem, including product commercialization, device design, facilities management, financial and legal consulting, media strategy and user experience design.
