Brigham and Women’s Hospital Second Annual Research Day

November 21, 2013 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

This special event is a time for employees, visitors, media and the general public to engage with the BWH research community and celebrate innovative and cutting-edge research at the hospital. The day will feature a plenary session with hospital leadership, nine research symposia, a scientific poster session and a keynote address by Paul Farmer, MD, PhD, chief of the Division of Global Health Equity at BWH.

The winners from the BWH hackathon will present from 3-4pm at the Pitch Perfect: Winning Presentations from the BWH Hackathon in the Shapiro Breakout Room.

This session will feature all six prizewinning teams from the inaugural BWH Hackathon which took place in September 2013. The Hackathon brought together diverse, multidisciplinary groups to ‘pitch’ or present problems impacting healthcare. Teams developed their solutions over a two-day period and then presented to a panel of judges for recognition and honors. During this session, teams will pitch their innovative solutions followed by Q&A.
