DISRUPTIVE DIGITAL HEALTH TECHNOLOGY: A BOON OR BANE TO MEDICAL CARE?

September 26, 2016 @ 7:30 am

$40 - $50

Program Description:
The Affordable Care Act and Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Acts have stimulated a wave of change and profound innovation in healthcare that the US medical system hasn’t seen in decades. Changes in primary care and insurance are creating a new healthcare delivery marketplace. Companies self-insuring employers are financially incentivized to keep their employees healthy.

But what does disruptive digital health technology really mean for healthcare?
Will digital health enable patients to get care wherever they are, reducing costs for the system as a whole?

Will more options for care lead to lower cost and improved patient outcomes?
Does the adoption and meaningful use of health information technology improve patient-centered care?

What about the privacy and security concerns associated with the electronic transmission of health information?

Can doctors see more patients in a shorter time, and therefore scale down the cost of the service through digital face-to-face interaction?

Come join this timely, lively, blue ribbon panel of experts. Ask them questions and contribute your insights during the audience interactive segment. Identify potential new businesses opportunities.
