Connected and mobile health technologies are now vital tools in care delivery and patient engagement. Recognizing this alignment, HIMSS has launched the Connected Health Conference, which includes the industry-leading mHealth Summit and two new events focused on cyber security and population health management ‘ both vital areas of connected care. The three summits, the mHealth Summit, Cyber Security Summit and Population Health Summit, will take place simultaneously under the umbrella of HIMSS‘s Connected Health Conferencefrom Nov. 8 -11, 2015 at the Gaylord National Resort in the Washington D.C. area.
The mHealth Summit is the premier conference and expo for exploring what is new in mobile, telehealth and connected health’from the impact on healthcare delivery, clinical care and patient and consumer engagement to new technologies, research, investment activities, policy and shifts in the business environment. This year’s mHealth Summit will also feature the Global mHealth Forum, a gathering of influencers from over 50 countries to discuss the advancement of mobile and connected health in low and middle income countries.
The Cyber Security Summit will convene thought leaders from around the country to explore the current landscape of health sector cyberthreats and risk management approaches across identification, protection, detection, response and recovery. Panel discussions will examine the impact of cyberattacks on business continuity, cost and consumer and patient trust. Attendees will learn how to equip themselves with the many types of tools and resources available to identify cyberthreats and manage their risk, and how to use threat intelligence and data analytics to keep ahead of the cyber security game.
The Population Health Summit will provide real-world examples and case studies of population health management actions currently in-place within healthcare organizations. Key tracts and panel topics include: identifying ways that healthcare organizations are replacing volume with value by offering patient-centered quality care across populations, how healthcare organizations have prepared to offer consumers greater price and quality transparency, and the critical success factors organizations need to thrive in this new era of population health management.
