The first ever Spaulding Hackathon was held prior to the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) Annual Meeting in September 2015. The 2-day event focused on the development of creative and innovative solutions specifically for rehabilitation medicine challenges.
The Spaulding Hackathon brings together clinicians, engineers, designers, programmers, and entrepreneurs to tackle clinical and healthcare related problems specific to rehabilitation medicine. These talented individuals are given the opportunity to collaborate with each other to find innovative ways to solve problems to benefit caregivers and patients.
The Spaulding Hackathon is hosted by Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and the Harvard Medical School Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in collaboration with the MIT Hacking Medicine.
