The Promise of Digital Healthcare: Commercialization & Beyond

August 4, 2016 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am

Free – $35

What does digital healthcare mean for life sciences industry professionals? How does it affect patients? Why has it become such a hot topic?

To address these questions and more, MassBio is hosting a new Forum series that will feature industry leaders, patients, providers and investors as they share their insights on the challenges and opportunities of digital healthcare. This is Part 3 of our Digital Healthcare Forum Series.

Patients, Providers, Caregivers, Healthcare Systems & Industry… How is digital health providing solutions to complex issues in today’s healthcare environment? The evolution of digital technology builds upon the traditional treatment paradigm of therapy, leading to a convergence of people, information and technology to improve delivery of healthcare.

Today, companies are developing technologies to better understand disease complexity in a real-world setting, including the ability to identify new sub-patient populations that could benefit from therapeutic interventions. From digital therapeutics to digital biomarkers, these technological innovations are changing the healthcare delivery model and access to care by helping to:

  • Enhance patient experience including therapy compliance and monitoring
  • Collect real-world evidence data and
  • Put that data in the hands of the end user for more effective healthcare

Our panelists will discuss:

  • Nontraditional data sources
  • Devices in use for patient care
  • Platforms that focus on linking cross-care teams and
  • Patient-facing with focus on care planning for complex case management

This Forum will address the delivery side of e-healthcare, insights from digital healthcare technologies and the impact on care coordination and patient-facing planning. Join us to hear how these solutions fit into the current healthcare ecosystem and how they will shape its future.

This Forum is open to nonmembers for a $35 fee.
